Following a stellar year in 2025 with his acclaimed Trio, versatile musician Alex Koo dives into a brand-new sonic landscape that is as groovy as it is colorful with his latest project, Kimono Garden. For this venture, he surrounds himself with prominent names from the Belgian scene, such as Andrew Claes (STUFF.) and Trui Amerlinck (Tsar B, NΔBOU).

Together, they serve up a rich blend where jazz seamlessly fuses with neo-soul, electronics, and ambient music. It is a smoldering kind of music that grows unnoticed, like roots beneath a sidewalk, yet possesses the power to lift heavy stones. Think of the playful edge of Flying Lotus, the warm glow of Hiatus Kaiyote, and the dreamy textures of Björk.

Add to that Koo’s undeniable urge to experiment, his boundless passion for improvisation, and a generous dose of stage energy, and you know this will be a concert that effortlessly transcends the traditional jazz stage.

Après une année 2025 exceptionnelle aux côtés de son Trio acclamé, le musicien aux multiples facettes Alex Koo explore un nouveau jardin sonore aussi groovy que coloré avec son tout nouveau projet, Kimono Garden. Pour l'occasion, il s'entoure de grands noms de la scène belge tels qu'Andrew Claes (STUFF.) et Trui Amerlinck (Tsar B, NΔBOU).

Ensemble, ils proposent un mélange intense où le jazz fusionne harmonieusement avec la neo-soul, l'électronique et l'ambient. C'est une musique incandescente qui grandit discrètement, comme des racines sous un trottoir, mais avec la force nécessaire pour soulever les pavés. Pensez au tranchant ludique de Flying Lotus, à la lueur chaleureuse de Hiatus Kaiyote et aux contours oniriques de Björk.
