Root drought, not such fine dust, aggressive-invasive species, rising moss costs, pesticides, exploding nature tourism... The forest is boiling over!
Blue tits only eat crisps now,
beavers build castles out of plastic bottles,
and a few squirrels dart around like loose cannons,
fighting over a half-empty Capri Sun.
Willie Wonder's climate show attempts to bring hope in these difficult times.
The animals and plants sing and dance themselves into a sweat, but when even their own show is threatened by an external threat, the animals fall out of character. The musical sputters, the children's pictures growl back, the cuddly animals get feisty.
BOS is a powerful tragicomic theatre performance on location. A search for a ray of hope in the climate story. How can you use a gang of oddball animals, a load of absurd humour and a lot of fun to tell an enriching story about a theme that leaves no one untouched?
