Has it really been six seasons since Claire Croizé populated the scene of nona with the beautiful EVOL (Rilke! Bowie!)? She now returns with Our Solo, this time as solo dancer in a meeting with violinist Aisha Orazbayeva (Ictus Ensemble, among others) and her repertoire from early music to contemporary avant-garde. 

The two are constantly in striking staggered positions: solo/duo, indoor/outdoor, voice/electronic, text/dance, speech/vocal and dance/music. At the same time, they eagerly explore the boundaries of their medium, fascinated by the areas where they overlap. Orazbayeva's music is both a physical performance and a composition: her repetitive movements sometimes have much in common with those of a dancer. Croizé confronts this obsessive music, which stems from minimalism but takes a more textural approach. Improvisation, intuitive dialogue and intense collaboration thus lead to a unique creation.
