Exactly 50 years after the première of Luciano Berio’s CORO, George De Decker’s CORO will be premièred at Lunalia. It is a new chapter in De Decker’s extensive oeuvre, which includes solo pieces, symphonic works, sound installations and music for film, dance and theatre. When he happened to hear Berio’s CORO on the radio, he found himself gripped by the piece. This led to a series of paintings, an electronic track and ultimately a composition for piano and tape.
