Last season, the sharp saxophonist Signe Emmeluth blew our club away during Paal Nilssen-Love Circus. Now, one of the most formidable horn players in the Scandinavian improv scene returns with her own quartet, Amoeba. Together with her fellow musicians, she forms an almost telepathic organism that constantly changes shape. Their music is radically open and playful: from whisper-quiet and fragile to a total burst of energy.

Next, the Norwegian psych-jazz group Møster! pulls out all the stops. Frontman and saxophonist Kjetil Møster - who already made quite an impression in December with Gard Nilssen Acoustic Unity - delivers raw, churning energy here. Think of the boundless improvisational drive of 1970s Miles Davis, driven by spellbinding trance grooves and heavy psych-rock riffs. After fifteen years of playing together, they navigate blindly between exhilarating eruptions and slow, meditative atmospheres. An absolute dream for fans of both adventurous jazz and steaming rock.

La saison dernière, la saxophoniste affûtée Signe Emmeluth a complètement époustouflé notre club lors du Paal Nilssen-Love Circus. Aujourd’hui, l’une des figures les plus percutantes de la scène impro scandinave revient avec son propre quartet, Amoeba. Avec ses partenaires, elle forme un organisme presque télépathique qui change constamment de forme. Leur musique est radicalement ouverte et ludique : d’un murmure fragile à une totale explosion d’énergie.

Ensuite, le groupe de psych-jazz norvégien Møster ! sort le grand jeu. Le leader et saxophoniste Kjetil Møster - qui a marqué les esprits en décembre avec Gard Nilssen Acoustic Unity - livre ici une énergie brute et bouillonnante. Pensez à la fougue improvisatrice sans limite du Miles Davis des années 70, propulsée par des grooves de transe envoûtants et de solides riffs psych-rock. Après quinze ans de complicité, ils naviguent à l’aveugle entre éruptions exaltantes et ambiances lentes et méditatives. Un rêve absolu pour les amateurs de jazz aventureux comme de rock endiablé.
