B.O.X ALL STARS FT. NIVE NIELSEN & CASPER CLAUSEN
“On high winds and northern stars” – timeless travelogues and original evergreens
Especially for BRAND! 2026, B.O.X – or Baroque Orchestration X – is staging an exceptional collaboration with the Greenlandic singer-songwriter Nive Nielsen and Casper Clausen, frontman of the Danish band Efterklang.
Drawing inspiration from the magnificent sounds of the past, B.O.X has already built up a strong live reputation, with collaborations spanning genres and borders, including with Richard Parry (Arcade Fire), Valgeir Sigurðsson, Bram Stadhouders, Spinvis and Dez Mona. The clarinet and saxophone of BRAND! regular Joachim Badenhorst and the trumpet and cornet of Jon Birdsong meet the baroque harp of young talent Lise Vandersmissen, the lutes and baroque guitar of Pieter Theuns, and the synthesisers, loops and guitar of Jan de Vroede. Centuries-old instruments, electronic textures and voices from the far north come together in a unique ensemble that bridges the gap between baroque, jazz and pop, and between Denmark, Greenland and Belgium.
