June leads an inconspicuous life in a log cabin in the Deep South of the US. Surrounded by the woods, she spends her days in front of the telly, until the signal starts to falter. Driven by the picture noise, we are whisked through an American dreamscape of TV psychics, takeaway burritos, misty motel rooms and ghosts from the past. Junebug draws you into a hallucinatory world of sound in which reality and imagination merge seamlessly. Anna blends theatre, cinema, podcast and a touch of Efteling into a fully immersive experience. In this film, the screen simply stares back at you.

Brigitte Bardot. With two Bs, everyone knows straight away who she is: film star, style icon, sex symbol. But who lies behind the name and the image? And what if that image doesn’t hold up? In Hallo Bardot, BB is interviewed. Or is it a version of BB that we’ve imagined ourselves? A theatre production with unadulterated Haaibaai enthusiasm.
Haaibaai’s mission is to make names and titles that ring a bell with many people accessible. Their work centres on strong-willed women. In Halte 1000 last season, they gave the characters from A Streetcar Named Desire a light-hearted, self-assured twist. For Hallo Bardot, they’ve been joined this time by guest actor and diva Lars Himpe.
