Female perspective
These three young women retell three age-old tales from a female perspective. What happens if the women in these stories are no longer content with their supporting roles as submissive weavers or spoils of war? What if they no longer look on powerlessly as their children are sacrificed for a favourable wind or thrown from a wall? What if they leave their roles as victims behind and lead their own lives? Or beyond that: what if the women determine the course of the play?
Race against the clock
Today’s civilisation is rooted in Ancient Greek society. The fact that only wealthy men had a voice in that society is something we often ignore. In a race against the clock with ancient stories, we count down to the present day. In this trilogy, the curtain falls on the male perspective in Ancient Greek repertoire.
