The remarkable connection between drummers Eric Thielemans and Billy Hart goes back a quarter of a century. At the time, the Belgian was following a master class with the American master who was side man of many jazz greats, such as Herbie Hancock, Stan Getz, McCoy Tyner and Pharoah Sanders. It led to a transatlantic camaraderie that in the spotlight during Thielemans' residency at Jazz Middelheim in 2016.
