ATTENTION: for obvious reasons this concert has been canceled.
We already know Mauro Pawlowski, Elko Blijweert and Jeroen Stevens from bands such as Gruppo di Pawlowski, dEUS, Dead Man Ray, DAAU and many, many more. Obviously they have their musical talent, but their strong stage presence is another unmistakeable asset. Renowned artists such as Wim Vandekeybus, Lisbeth Gruwez, Marc Maillard and companies including De Roovers and Zuidpool have worked with them on compositions and live performances.

Semi-autobiographical characters
With SOLOKOLOS, A Triple Solo Performance Evening, Jeroen, Elko and Mauro resolutely opt for performance. In their solos Look Ma I'm Dancin', On Left Bank and Rocker, popular culture, everyday life and influences from various art movements come together. The three at times crazy artistic minds reinterpret folkloric customs, niche cultures and autobiographical experiences. SOLOKOLOS is a triptych of three individual artists with strong mutual ties. In SOLOKOLOS, three semi-autobiographical characters are portrayed, who swim towards one and the same figure in different stages of life.
Frankincense, myrrh and gold
Blijweert, Pawlowski and Stevens present a wonderfully bizarre and sometimes moving spectacle of movement, recitation, tableaux vivants and music. All three are influenced by an avant-garde method. After all, major influences are art forms that arose in the second half of the 20th century, such as conceptual art, arte povera, absurdism, art brut and (neo) pop art all question fixed patterns of thought about art, politics and society. The artists believe in the power of humour and will therefore exploit it with great seriousness. Three curious universes, three unique performers and three times music: a corrupted version of frankincense, myrrh and gold.
