Opening on the Annual International Noise Awareness Day (27/04), the exhibition NOISENOISENOISE brings together the artistic practices of six Belgian and international artists who deal with the importance of our relationship with sound environment.
Rather than coming face to face with the brute force of the often ubiquitous noise that surrounds us, these artists bring aesthetics that in a minimal but accessible way stimulate our reflection on how we produce, undergo, collect and internalize sounds.

Both the physical and psychological experience of sound is an underlying element in the exhibition as well as its linguistic translation as if, taking into account our inclination to focus on the visual aspect of things, we need to express ourselves by the articulated language or images in order to describe and comprehend the surrounding acoustic occurrences.
Together with noise, the exhibition also questions silence and its absence. By proposing moments of stillness, it is a way of remembering that every communicative exchange is punctuated by silence, a silence that no one can hear because it lasts a fraction of a second due to the speed of sound and background noise.
NOISENOISENOISE is a group exhibition with works by Justin Bennett, Line Boogaerts, Edith Dekyndt, Lise Harlev, Lukas Marxt, Semiconductor.
