Femke Gyselinck/GRIP & Platform-K: Change of Plans
Choreographer Femke Gyselinck, together with Zanne Boon and Oskar Stalpaert, two dancers of the inclusive dance company Platform-K, walk the bumpy tension between choreography as a series of agreements (or plans) and how those plans then come to life. They find that their plans are immediately thrown into disarray as soon as you dance together on a stage with an irregular shape and erratic height differences.
The title of the performance refers to a stanza from My Future, a song by Billie Eilish in which she looks back on the past and looks hopefully forward to the future. Femke Gyselinck invited not Billie Eilish, but musicians Hendrik Lasure (piano, keyboard) and Adia Vanheerentals (sax). They wrote an original soundtrack for the performance and performed it live. A duet between piano and sax, but also between dance and music.
Together, the five performers seek playful answers to the question raised by the title. How do you change a dance plan? In Change of Plans you experience how exciting it is to watch dancers who have to adjust and tune their plans all the time. No sabotage, just an invitation between three dancers who each in their own way already deal with the given choreography very differently.

Steven Michel/GRIP: DATADREAM
Steven Michel has worked as a performer with a host of choreographers, theater and film directors, including David Zambrano, Falk Richter, Lukas Dhont, Daniel Linehan and Maud le Pladec. For the past several years he has also been a regular guest at nona, including work by Jan Martens (including SWEAT BABY SWEAT, VICTOR, THE DOG DAYS ARE OVER, THE COMMON PEOPLE, RULE OF THREE).
DATADREAM is his new solo exploring how technology affects the body and psyche in relation to reality, spirituality and "otherness."
He invites us on a personal, physical and spiritual journey, a "cyberdelicate" experience within a multimedia environment that interacts with his body in real time. Before our eyes, a techno-archaic environment slowly takes shape, and we come to realize that man has always been a traveler - accessing parallel worlds through the mind and the collective unconscious, creating his own reality. In an age that increasingly requires digital subscriptions, registration and tracking, is it still possible to step back and rediscover the pleasure and danger involved in exploring virtual, imaginary and invisible worlds?
With DATADREAM, Steven continues his path as a maker with a love of interdisciplinary collaborations, inviting artists working with light, sound and video - to be part of this shared, immersive experience.
