Cuir is a duet about attraction and pull. In a powerful body-to-body confrontation, two men in leather armor manipulate each other's bodies. The pleasure they derive from transforming each other - into an instrument, into a device, into a playing field, into a battlefield - drives them to a struggle on stage. But neither wants to exercise power over the other: they seek power with the other.

In Cuir, Arno Ferrera and Gilles Polet strive for a human-to-human relationship that does not require a conflictual confrontation, nor a win-lose relationship. One may want to subordinate the other, to force him to follow, to impose a situation on him, but the other may also be in a state of acceptance, in a willingness to follow this obligation. Both men then enjoy their position, by consent, without any hierarchy. To this end, they explore the capabilities of their bodies with the aid of equestrian armor, usually reserved for pulling and plowing. The strength thus acquired enables them to be gentle. The armor not only enhances the potential of human traction, but it is also an enlightener. Through the physical commitment to serve others with this archaic tool, the two acrobats seek a state in which instinct and will become visible and tangible.
Circus company Un Loup pour l'Homme was born after a meeting between acrobats Alexandre Fray and Frédéric Arsenault. Since 2006, Un loup pour l'homme has performed some 600 (!) shows: 'Appris par corps' (2006), 'Face Nord' (2011), 'Rare Birds' (2017), the female version of 'Face Nord' (2018), 'Cuir' (2020) and 'Projet Grand-mère' (2021). Un Loup pour l'Homme approaches acrobatics as a vision of humanity, which consists of social individuals who are as different as they are interdependent.
