ATTENTION: for obvious reasons this performance has been canceled.
Diederik Peeters is a visual artist who has accidentally wandered into the performing arts. He creates performances, writes texts and designs installations and videos. Because Peeters is a proud sufferer from a pathological preference for confusion, his work is a stubborn accumulation of impossible contradictions and absurd consistencies.

“A delirious performer who ‘chases ghosts’”
- Télérama
In Apparitions, he investigates what exactly the deal is with life after death. Disguised as a spiritualist, he infiltrates the end of the nineteenth century, where he mixes with prominent scientists. This enables him to investigate the mysteries surrounding popular inventions of the time. He simultaneously catapults himself forward in time to the end of the twenty-first century, to find out which technological developments are used to resurrect the dead and what hardware or software is used to give ghosts and phantoms access to bodies again.
Navigating between history and science fiction, belief and scepticism, Apparitions is an expedition down subterranean tunnels that connect science to magic and technology to horror.
