BRAND! 2018 Jazz Festival

For adventurous listeners: the excitement starts here. For the fourth edition of BRAND! nona arts centre and Mechelen Cultural Centre will focus once again on a country with a vibrant musical scene: Portugal. There is so much more to Portuguese music than fado alone. Particularly since the millennium, the scene has been swept up by the musical equivalent of the Gulf Stream. Jazz ao Centro (Coimbra) and Jazz em Agosto (Lisbon) have matured into festivals with an international allure. And the Clean Feed Records label has developed into one of the world’s greatest trendsetters on the jazz scene’s adventurous flank.
