FAQ live streamings
You bought a ticket to watch an event via live stream. Because sometimes things go wrong, we have listed some frequently asked questions below.
As with the purchase of a ticket for a "physical" event at nona, it is not possible to cancel your ticket after purchase.
The live stream starts half an hour before the actual event. You can find this start time in the e-mail that you received from us after purchasing your ticket. If it says for example 19:30, this means that the player goes live from 19:30 and the actual event will start at 20:00.
You do not require a login or password. After purchasing your ticket, you will receive a unique URL by e-mail. All you have to do is click on it and you will be directed to the correct page. Attention: the number of times you can use the link is limited to the number of times indicated on the page of the livestream. We obviously do this to avoid abuse. If you have accidentally exceeded the maximum number of logins, please contact our helpdesk by e-mail or by phone: +32 (0)15 20 37 80. The "player" on which the event can be seen will only go live half an hour before the actual event starts. So don't worry if you don't see the player prior to that time.
If you completed your online order successfully, you should have received an automated e-mail from us. Look in your spam folder for an e-mail from info@nona.be with the subject 'Your reservation'. Still haven't found it? Maybe you entered a wrong e-mail address? In any case, send an e-mail to info@nona.be and you will receive the e-mail again.
Don't worry: we will keep a regular live stream going for up to 48 hours, so you can catch a performance or concert after the event has completed. If you bought a festival pass, you even have access for a week. Attention: the number of times you can use the link is limited. If you have accidentally exceeded the maximum number of logins, please contact our helpdesk.
Nona arts centre cooperates with seasoned professionals to ensure high-quality capture and streaming. We also have a powerful broadband connection that guarantees a good upload of the stream. Without an e-mail from our side (do check your mailbox!), you may assume that the problem is at your location.
We often see a problem with devices that are located too far away from the router where the internet signal enters. So be sure to move your computer, tablet or smartphone close enough to the router. Preferably connect your computer directly to the router with an ethernet cable. Then you can be 100% sure that there is no interference.
Unfortunately, this question is beyond our remit. We do, however, have a few tips:
- Use a laptop or PC. iPhones and iPads often have no direct way of communicating with a chromecast.
- Preferably use Google Chrome as your browser.
- Use an up-to-date version (download here).
- Start the live stream in your browser.
- Click on 'the icon with 3 dots' at the top right and then choose 'Cast' from the menu.
- You can now cast the tab with the livestream to your device.
Not all combinations of devices (mobile phone/computer/devices for streaming such as a chromecast) succeed in showing the image on your television. So it is best to check beforehand whether you can get the browser to appear on your TV. You may also find an answer on Google's support page.
Unfortunately, this question is outside our responsibility. However, you may find an answer on Apple's support page.
There will be no external audience. In order to keep the organisation tight and safe - we strictly observe the hygiene measures - besides the artists only the technicians and employees of nona will be present. All protocols will be respected.
