On December 1, Kunstencentrum nona, Abattoir Fermé and Jazzlab submitted a joint subsidy file to the Flemish government to continue as one organization from 2023. A shared vision and a sense of adventure led to an ambitious, innovative plan. The renewed nona will turn the structure of the Mechelen arts center inside out and expand it with a stronger socio-artistic operation.

From 25 to 30 November, Mechelen will become the capital of Norwegian jazz. Nona arts centre has appointed the Brussels-based production and distribution platform Auguste Orts as the curator of the tenth edition of Contour Biennale. It will take place in the autumn of 2023 and will celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Circus Without Circus is an interdisciplinary research project for artists from the circus field and many other artistic fields. Nona Arts Centre is one of the eight project partners. The 18 candidates selected for the project are now announced.
Contour Biennale is a biennale for contemporary art in Mechelen (Belgium). It is the longest-running art biennale in Belgium and is part of an international professional network. For the tenth edition, which will take place in the autumn of 2023, kunstencentrum nona is looking for a curator. The artistic quality of the works exhibited is of prime importance. We aim to reconcile incisive choices of content with an audience that is as wide and diverse as possible.
